NIB rate will rise every two years

In order to save the National Insurance Fund from doom, the National Insurance Board (NIB) rate will increase by 1.5 percentage points - from 9.8 percent to 11.3 percent - on July 1, 2024, and increase every two years after that by the same amount for the foreseeable future, Myles LaRoda, minister of state in the Office of the Prime Minister, who has responsibility for NIB, revealed last night.
